President's Background
Military Life:
After completing his undergrad, Craig Bengel, enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard as a 74D - Chemical, Biological, Radiological, & Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist. He served for a year with the 216th Forward Support Company, where he was promoted to Sergeant as the CBRN NCO (non-commissioned officer) for Bravo Troop of the 2-107th Cavalry Regiment. Craig was pulled for deployment to Kuwait for Operation Enduring Freedom - Spartan Shield with the 637th Chemical Company as an Initial Entry Team Leader. The 637th served as the only Chemical Company in the entire Army Central Command. |
Civilian Life:
Prior to deployment, Craig had worked for an environmental services company as an Environmental Technician as well as a Safety Coordinator for a general contractor. From these two positions he gained experience in general industry safety, construction, emergency response, and hazardous material disposal. Upon returning from deployment, Craig wanted to continue his service within safety by providing employers with training and resources to improve their overall safety performance. Now Sergeant Safety along with its partnerships have become the one-source for your safety solutions.

- Masters in Occupational Safety and Health with Environmental Management Concentration - Columbia Southern University
